Tyrone Rotary’s annual Four-Way Test speech contest is held to foster the principles of ethics in everyday life as well as in the business world. It's designed to introduce high school students to Rotary and help them become aware of Rotary’s Four-Way Test. Students are asked to talk on a topic of their choice and relate Rotary’s Four-Way Test to the topic. Tyrone Area High School 11th grader, Ronald J. Beck, delivered an outstanding speech and will represent Tyrone Rotary at the regional level in April. He is the son of Ronald and Betsy Beck, of Tyrone. “RJ” accepts a certificate and a $100 check from Rotarian Michelle Baughman, coordinator of the contest. Club President Terri Swann presided at the meeting. (Mar. 2, 2009)
